Home of artists Andy and Helen for over twenty years, the large traditional stone house offers comfortable accommodation for bed and breakfast and self catering holidays. Farchadil House is an excellent resort if you want to get away from all the hustle and bustle of a city.
Frachadil House is in an elevated situation, set away from the single track road to Calgary and sits in its own eleven acres of woods hill and burn. There is ample parking close to the house. There are records of the property dating back to 1674, Frachadil faces almost due north towards the islands of Rum, Eigg, Muck and the Ardnamurchan peninsular, and on a bright day the Cuillins of Skye can clearly be seen.
The view is timeless and spectacular. Otters are often seen at Calgary, Golden and White Tailed Eagles soar overhead or even better perch on the crags close by. The woods and walled garden are full of migrant birds in the spring time, and the bird table is always busy. Frachadil makes the ideal location for wildlife enthusiasts, walkers, or for families wanting to enjoy the safe swimming at Calgary bay and other close by beaches. The accommodation comprises of one self catering apartment which can sleep up to five people, and two double bed and breakfast rooms.

These parks are perfect for families and retirees, because there are no large hotels and restaurants. Instead, the parks offer everything from miniature golf to horseback riding. Many people enjoy spending their days at a holiday park. A good recreational vehicle park or campground is a wonderful place where people with recreational vehicles may stay for a short time, or all night, in designated campsites or sites. There are lots of family-friendly activities in holiday parks, as well as educational programs to keep the children entertained. And when it is time to go home, all they have to do is get in their own vehicle and drive to their own accommodation, which is usually a great way to relax after a tiring day of activities.
When you first decide that you want to purchase a recreational vehicle, you should ask your dealer about rental options. You might be surprised by what you learn. You might not have a lot of options. So what are some ideas?
Rentals are a great way to save money. Sometimes, vacation parks or recreational areas charge a fee for each vehicle you rent, but these fees are usually quite reasonable. If you don't like the idea of paying a monthly fee, then try to find out if you can get a discount on the rental cost. Sometimes holiday parks or recreational areas also offer discounts for returning customers. This may be offered on an annual basis, or for a special event. Most often, however, discounts are offered for the first time customers, too.
Of course, if the parks are not located close enough to a resort, you can always consider renting a car from the park directly. When you do this, remember that the only way you can drive your recreational vehicle to your vacation spot is if you bring it with you! This is not always possible with other rentals, because you will be relying on a rental car company to drive you to and from the vacation spot. Finally, when you rent a recreational vehicle from holiday parks, you may also be able to use a credit card for rentals. If the place accepts cards, you might want to look into the various offers that are available, depending on how flexible the company is about such services.
